Stop my Barking Dog

All barking is not bad! Dogs bark for many reasons, and you'll need to find out what his triggers are and work on those triggers so he will not bark. Your goal is to stop incessant barking - not by punishing him (punishing him may stop him barking that one time) but to calm him so he will not feel the need to bark.

Mental exercise is teaching him obedience exercises and also dispelling some of that energy by having him work for his food via puzzle toys.

Deterrents to Stop Barking Dogs
In rare instances, you may want to use barking deterrents. But remember that these may increase your dog's anxieties, especially if he suffers from separation anxiety.
